Control4 and China

By Paul Williams | Posted September 17, 2013

你好 (Nǐ hǎo),

China is one of the top emerging global markets in the world today.  With a year-over-year gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 7.9% in 2012 compared to 2% for the United States during the same period, China has a vibrant and growing economy.

With this prosperity, consumers in China have been bringing technology into their homes at a rapid rate, which leads to the same problems consumers face in America and other countries around the world, which is, too many methods of control for those devices.  This often leads to frustration, especially when the assumption is that technology should make everyone’s life simpler, not more complex and stressful.  This is where Control4 technology can help reduce that frustration and help simplify people’s lives.

Control4 products have been in the Chinese market for several years, however this last week Control4 showed just how committed we are to the Chinese market by opening a world-class sales, dealer support and training center in Shanghai.  The facility is 4,300 square feet and boasts a state-of-the-art training center, meeting space and office workspaces for our China team.  This facility will allow Control4 to train and support its growing Chinese dealer base in their native language.

I was there for the grand opening where we held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the space for business.  I can tell you that the excitement from our dealers and the attendees was over the top!  Everyone was impressed with the facility and we are very proud of how it turned out!

To help customers in China, we have officially launched our Chinese language website, located at //cn.control4.com/, allowing customers to find out more about our solutions and to see how Control4 solutions can reduce their frustration, simplify their lives and allow them to fully enjoy the technology they have in their home.

We are excited to be part of this growing economy!

To show how excited I am, I will sign out this blog post with my Chinese name.

谢谢 (Xièxiè),
