All-new push notifications on your Android or iOS smart watch or mobile devices are an exciting new feature in OS 2.7 that we haven’t talked much about. We’re all familiar with notifications from any of your mobile apps, now your Smart Home can speak directly to you whether you’re at the office, on vacation, or sitting on the couch.

With push notifications, receive proactive alerts on your mobile device or smart watch that inform you of important events happening at home, whether something is urgent and needs your attention immediately or just a simple status update to let you know things are safe and sound.

The push notifications you receive can be completely custom to your home and the unique needs of your family. Of the Draconian variety, you could get a push notification if the kids turn on the TV when they should be doing homework, or, of the more practical variety, if there’s a leak in the basement.

More examples may include:

  • When the kids have returned safely home from school
  • The garage door has been left open for a certain amount of time
  • The liquor cabinet has been accessed
  • Someone adjusts the thermostat down in the middle of a hot day
  • Motion has been detected in a certain room
  • And many, many more…

See first-hand how these push notifications work in the video below.

*In order to get push notifications you will need 4Sight service and the Control4 app for iOS or Android. If you wish to customize your apps, use Composer Home Edition.
