Control4 Acquires Ihiji
By Martin Plaehn, President & CEO | Posted January 3, 2018Happy New Year and Welcome to 2018. Control4 has always been deeply committed to empowering our dealers with the industry’s best products and services necessary to deliver fantastic connected home experiences for our collective customers. Our acquisition of Pakedge in early-2016 was a big boost and since then we have introduced a solid sequence of new networking products and monitoring capabilities. This past CEDIA, we added the Pakedge Certified Network Administrator (PCNA) hands-on and online training program to provide technicians with the networking knowledge they need to design, install, and manage high-performance wired and wireless IP networks for connected homes. Today, I’m pleased to announce that we are taking another step in strengthening our networking portfolio with the acquisition of Ihiji, the award-winning provider of Invision and Service Manager. We’re also excited to add the talented team from Ihiji to the Control4 networking group—focused on combining our monitoring platforms into one and bring expanded monitoring and management capabilities to our combined dealers to better service their customers. See today’s press release here. By joining forces, Control4 will be able to provide even stronger cloud-based management service to all of our dealers to securely and efficiently monitor end-customers' connected homes. The joint development team is already working together to develop the integrated platform, which will be made available in phases to all Control4, Pakedge, Triad, and Ihiji dealers and their end customers, throughout the year. Our shared goal is to provide and operate a single integrated monitoring and services experience that provides all connected home dealers with complete visibility and control at the network level, which would include over 2,000 third-party products, as well as all Control4 and Pakedge smart-home equipment. The new solution will also deliver a comprehensive view of every home and customer to enable dealerships to monitor, assess, remediate, and track performance concerns associated with their customers’ homes. We proudly welcome the Ihiji team to Control4. This step and news are an exciting way to kick off the new year. Onward into 2018! Martin Control4 CEO |
